The end of September marked a new beginning in a new home for Crabtree Automotive Inc. at 1110 Hill St SE. Their remodel included the revamping of an aged, but sturdy, warehouse as well as a new façade, parking lot and landscaping. This new location doubles their size and will allow the company to grow by offering new services and a larger workforce.
Crabtree Automotive, in its 30th year as a family owned business, received a CARA grant of $75,000 to help with the much needed facelift. The local SBA lenders at the Council of Government were instrumental in securing the loans and the grant to put the project together.
The Albany Chamber of Commerce, their customers and the community rallied in support of this neighborhood renovation. Owners, Paula and Tim Connaghan, made sure that all of the contractors and vendors for this project were from our local area, keeping jobs and dollars in our community.
